Wye Valley is a family-run brewery that started its journey in 1985 by former Guinness brewer, Peter Amor. It began from the back of a pub in Herefordshire. Today - Peter's son, Vernon, is part of the business, after learning at Young's Brewery. The brewery produces traditional beers but with an eye to the future - with 41% of the brewery's electricity generated from their solar panels.
Hobsons Brewery was established in Shropshire in 1993, by the Davis family and is now one of the most sustainable breweries in the UK. Familiar names to locals include, the once a year - Green Hop, Twisted Spire, Old Henry and the increasingly popular Oldfields Cider.
Salopian Brewery was founded as Snowdonia Brewery in 1994 by Brewer Martin Barry at his pub in North Wales. Fortunately for all Shropshire fans of a good ale, he relocated to Shropshire in 1995 and renamed it Salopian Brewery. The Brewery has gone from the smallest commercial brewery (not attached to a pub) to its 2014 move to a purpose-built 50 barrel plant.
